The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives.”  Robert M. Hutchins

Course Description

In ED 800 We examined different forms of educational inquiry.  Each unit was structured around the beliefs of an educational philosopher.  Examples include Mary Catherine Bateson and John Dewey.  We would study their work and write essays regarding their forms of inquiry.  This course stretched me as a writer but most importantly established new perspectives on how students should be educated in our ever changing culture.
