My definition of a leader . . . is a man who can persuade people to do what they don't want to do, or do what they're too lazy to do, and like it." — Harry S. Truman,

Course Description

EAD 801 was centered around various educational leadership styles.  Through this class I developed a new definition of leadership.  Leadership- The ability of an individual to set a vision and inspire their followers to fulfill it.  Too many times leaders believe they must do the work yet success lies in motivating the followers to achievement.  Also examined was the concensus decision making model as well as the key steps in transformative leadership. Using the framework of leadership we examined various challenges in education and how to succesfully navigate a school through those obstacles.
